Assigning assays to specimens

Specimens must be assigned an assay before results for that specimen can be entered or loaded into LDMS..

If a specimen is not assigned an assay, it will not appear as available to add to an assay run. There are several ways that an assay can be assigned to a specimen.

• Right-click the specimen on the Specimen Management screen, and then click Test Setup.
• Use the Assign Tests tool.
• Receive a shipment where the specimens have already been assigned an assay.
