System requirements

These are the system requirements, along with recommended specifications, for using LDMS.

LDMS has been reported to function appropriately on thin clients and virtual machines, but these have not been thoroughly tested and are not supported by Frontier Science.

Home editions of Microsoft Windows are not supported.
Web Browser
  • Firefox 41 or higher
  • Chrome 45 or higher
  • Edge 20 or higher

JavaScript must be enabled for all browsers. Although most browsers will be able to use LDMS without issues, Frontier Science does not provide user support for web browsers that are not listed.
Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Version 3.5 (if you are using Windows 7 or higher, you should already meet this requirement)
  • Version 4.0 (full profile) or higher (if you are using Windows 8 or higher, you should already meet this requirement)

Both versions of .NET are required.

Power An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to protect against data loss caused by power failure.

Other software

LDMS can generate reports and other types of files in several different formats. Most of these files can be opened by commonly used programs that are already on our computer.

PDF viewer
Needed to view and print reports. You can download many PDF viewers for free, such as Adobe Reader and Evince.
Important: An Adobe PDF viewer is required when printing labels.
Spreadsheet viewer
Needed to view exportable reports. Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice Calc can open these files.
